Hailing from the city of Chicago (and a few of the burbs), Veilside in its' current form has been a force on the Chicago music scene since 2006. Combining influences from across the musical spectrum, Veilside is a modern melodic rock band in the vein of their influences Nickelback, Shinedown, and Black Stone Cherry. In March 2009, the band was named "Best Original Band" by Suburban Nitelife Magazine. Their first EP, "Chapter One" was released in 2008 and to date has sold over 4000 copies. Not resting on their laurels, Veilside once again entered the studio to begin recording a much more ambitious CD titled "This Time..." with producer Chuck Alkazian (Slipknot, Elton John, Cristina Aguilera) at Pearl Sound Studios which was released in 2011. The CD featured 5 new Veilside originals and their popular hard rock cover of the Kansas mega-hit "Dust in the Wind". In May 2013, the band decided to work with Subclass Studios in Chicago to record their highly anticipated 3rd EP "Meanwhile..." which will be released on Sept 21st.  Veilside also won the 2011 "Bandemonium" hosted by 95 WIIL Rock (Kenosha) FM Radio, and has shared the stage with many notable national acts including current powerhouses Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Alter Bridge, Hinder, and Black Stone Cherry, to classic rock acts like Dokken, Nelson, Great White, Sebastian Bach, Warrant, Skid Row, and Lita Ford. Veilside is a very strong supporter of children's charities, having donated time and money to the Kelsey Briggs Foundation Against Child Abuse, Headstones for Angels, and the National SIDS Organization, as well as hosts the annual "Breaking the Silence" Autism Awareness benefit show which raises funds for autism awareness.  This year's concert, their 5th annual, raised over thirteen thousand dollars.

Veilside is:

Tony Engel - Lead Vocals
Russ Odean - Guitars & Vocals
Mo Ismail - Guitars & Vocals
Bob "Cabo" Hilton - Bass
Ron Thomas - Drums, Percussion, & Vocals

BREAKING THE SILENCE TIME!!  Our SIXTH annual Autism Awareness fundraiser!!  Last year's event raised over $13,000 and this year we're hoping to top that!!  The event itself is SUNDAY APRIL 27th at Durty Nellies in Palatine, IL and will once again be an ALL AGES event.  We've also put together some of the best acts in the Chicagoland area who have graciously donated their time for this event!!  And of course, we're working hard to promote it, so we'll be returning to the WGN TV afternoon news on THURSDAY, APRIL 24th with a special acoustic performance.

Year's looking good so far.....

Well things have been moving at a hectic pace so far this year......our sixth annual "Breaking the Silence" autism awareness fundraiser is in full-on planning mode, and we think we have a shot at topping the $13k we raised last year.  More on that as we get into April (Autism Awareness Month).  We also have a GREAT announcement to make - we're going to be spending our Memorial Day Weekend in the desert......with QUEENSRYCHE and WARRANT (can't beat THAT!!) as part of the "Desert Rocks Concert Series" courtesy of Frederick Entertainment - Check out one of the flyers:

And THAT's just the beginning......more to come as we shake off this winter and get this train rolling!!  We've also done a bit of writing and recently debuted TWO new songs that went over extremely well, and we'll keep refining those until we're convinced they're as good as they can be.  In addition, we're going to be making our first trips to a pair of new clubs for us - H.O.M.E. Bar in Arlington Heights, IL on April 4th and The Metal Grill in Cudahy, WI on April 5th.  THANK YOU for stopping by the website and we hope you enjoy the songs!!

Kicking off a new year!

So we had a great time at the 2014 NAMM Convention!  Of course, it's great just to get away from the Chicago weather, if only for a few days, but even more importantly, the band heads out to meet with our sponsors, endorsements, and network with other musicians and companies.  Now that we're back, we're gearing up for our first show of the year, this one in Chicago at a club called FIZZ on January 31st.  Then the schedule gets BUSY, so be sure to check the band's show calendar right here on our website!  And if you haven't picked up a copy of "Meanwhile..." yet.....get over to a show and get one!!

Another year ending....

Well 2013 has been a great year for the band, from the release of the new EP "Meanwhile...", which should be going up on Itunes and all digital retailers early next year, to appearing on WGN TV, to rocking out in Wauconda with Sebastian Bach, Lita Ford, RATT, Winger, and Warrant, to opening for Stryper, to meeting all kinds of new friends and fans, we are truly thankful for the kind words of encouragement and the support!!  We want to wish all of you a VERY good holiday season, regardless of what you celebrate, as well as the very best wishes for a great 2014!

As for us, we've got 2 shows remaining on our 2013 schedule.  We're playing with 80's rockers ENUFF Z'NUFF at Tailgaters this Thursday December 12th, and finishing the year at our "home away from home" in Michigan, this time at a new club for us...THE FOUNDRY in Jackson on Dec 28th.

We have some big things in store for 2014, and we hope you'll be a part of it!!

What's happening...now?

So the CD Release party for "Meanwhile..." was nothing short of amazing, and even though we have limited sales on the new CD to our shows only (don't worry....it will be available everywhere soon!) it has done quite well!!   So we're getting out and about on a weekend "mini-tour" of the midwest.  We just got back from Kokomo, IN last weekend and met some great bands along the way.  This upcoming weekend we're in Steger, IL followed by an acoustic set in the south burbs and then we're off to our "home away from home" in Michigan (we love jamming out there!)

So here's a few shots from the CD Release:

We gave a huge THANKS to Joe Tiberi (Engineer, co-producer, head of Apothica Studios, string arrangement on "My Last Lie"), Mike Greninger (Artist extra-ordinaire, Mike has done our t-shirt art, as well as the art on every CD we've ever done, and the Breaking the Silence artwork!) and Mitch Moraylos (co-producer, head of Subclass Studios).  This CD ROCKS because of the work these folks did!!  And not to be forgotten, a special thanks to Stacy Nierman, our Street Team Manager.....who whipped up flyers for the event, did the merch booth for us that night, AND did a video slideshow that the club never got around to playing (yeah, thanks on that!)

A shot from the stage.....thanks to EVERYONE who came out and made that show great!!

Oh yeah, and right before that we did a show with late 80's/early 90's rockers TRIXTER that was a LOT of fun!!  The guys in Trixter were nothing short of amazing, putting on a great set and hung out with EVERYONE after the show.  Tony and Cabo got a shot with the guys before they headed out to Minnesota....but you should all give a listen to "New Audio Machine" by Trixter....that CD is incredible!!

THANK YOU to everyone who has given us a kind word regarding the new CD.....it's exactly why we do this.  If you guys wouldn't listen, there'd be no reason to play.  We are grateful to each and every fan and friend we have.  We hope to have news on yet ANOTHER upcoming CD........VERY SOON!!

Have you "Heard"?

Ok, so the band is gearing up for the "Meanwhile..." CD Release party this Saturday, but we want to share with everyone as well (I mean, c'mon....we're pretty excited about this thing!) so here's a WEB EXCLUSIVE of "Come Back Down". The song was penned by drummer extraordinaire Ron Thomas, so give it a listen!! And do us a HUGE favor, leave a comment on our facebook page telling us what you think! We want to hear from YOU!! And speaking of "hear".....if you tune in to 105.5 The Kat FM THIS THURSDAY Sept 19th between 8pm and 9pm, you can hear the single we're pushing from "Meanwhile..." called "Standing Alone" on host Tim Lamping's show!! Hope to see all kinds of fans and friends at the CD Release Party at Shark City in Glendale Heights this Saturday Sept 21st....the new CD is the guest of honor and will be available for sale!! We absolutely realize that there is no reason to do this without our friends and fans, so most importantly, THANK YOU for stopping by.....we hope enjoy the song!!

News you can use (or not)

Updated News:

Veilside is proud to announce the release of our THIRD CD!!  Available on Saturday Sept 21st at Shark City in Glendale Heights, fans and friends will be able to purchase "Meanwhile..." at this and any future shows!  The CD will not be available for download until the end of the year, but will be on iTunes, Amazon, and other online retail markets at that time.  The CD was recorded at Subclass Studios in Chicago, and mastered at Apothica Studios in Batavia.  This is the first CD with "new" guitarist Mo Ismail and we are extremely excited for everyone to hear the results, because we think they came out great!  On Tuesday, Sept 17th, we'll be giving a sneak peek at one of the songs from "Meanwhile..." so make sure you come back and give a listen!

Track Listing:

1.  Sick of Me
2.  Maybe Tomorrow
3.  Standing Alone
4.  My Last Lie (I Promise)
5.  Wicked Side
6.  Come Back Down

And the cover art:

September in general is going to be a big month for the band.....Veilside will be playing three shows in 2 nights Sept 6th and 7th....two of them for the famous THIRSTY WHALE REUNION show, after the famed music club that closed years ago.  Our drummer Ron Thomas will be manning the kit not only for Veilside, but for the 25 year reunion of HAMMERON, which was a very popular band on the Chicago scene.  We'll also be playing the Chicago Live Music Fest for Autism in Antioch.  Oh yeah, and on Friday Sept 13th the band will be opening for 80's rockers TRIXTER, followed by the CD Release Party for "Meanwhile...".  So there's quite a few opportunities, come out and see the band perform!!

Recording has been almost completed on the upcoming CD!!  We have some work to do on one song, a great tune called "My Last Lie (I Promise)" and we're already at work doing final mixes and mastering on the other tunes.  We should have some word out pretty soon as to what we're calling this thing, but we're pretty excited to have our THIRD CD in everyone's hands!!  We just had an incredible weekend - a sold out show opening for STRYPER on Friday, and a benefit for Victims of Drunk Drivers on Sunday.  This weekend, we're absolutely honored to be sharing the stage with Sebastian Bach, Lita Ford, Kip Winger, Dokken, Warrant, and RATT!!  So while things keep chuggin' along, just stopping in to let everyone know that we are THANKFUL for everyone who stops by to check in on us!!  For now....it's back to work!!

So we had a great time on the road, met up with some old friends (and made a few new ones) on our trek from Wisconsin to Michigan to Illinois again.  And then back to sloggin' through the recording studio to get this baby finished.  We've announced a CD Release date of Saturday Sept 21st at Shark City.......which will be an AWESOME show, but we've got so much MORE lined up that it borders on ridiculous!!  First, this weekend we're at Six Flags Great America for several sets on Sunday, followed up by a very special Monday night ACOUSTIC performance with Mike Tramp of White Lion -

Pretty cool, right?  But that's not even REMOTELY it!!  Thursday we're at Mojoe's in Joliet opening for our friends in TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION.  The following Saturday we're playing Lovefest for Rock, Inc in Lake Geneva, WI and then the following Friday (Aug 9th) we're at Tailgater's in Bolingbrook, IL opening for STRYPER.

Then the grand-daddy of the summer shows hits.  Saturday August 17th in Wauconda, IL - ROCKIN' THE FARM!!  Many of the bands we've been honored enough to share the stage with.....but at the SAME TIME?!  This show is going to be huge!!  Don't just take our word for it....check out the flyer!!

Oh yeah - all this while we work on the CD!!  Are we nuts?  Maybe.....but we're going to have the time of our lives doing it!!  Stay tuned, because there's even MORE great shows on the horizon!!  But no matter what, if you're planning to attend.....get your tickets FAST!!

Hope to see you around!!

Tony - Ron - Mo - Russ - Cabo

Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th Holiday - we're right back at it - a short break from the recording studio to get in 4 shows in 3 states - IN THREE DAYS!!  Yep, we're loading the new VEILSIDE BUS and heading up to the Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI this Friday, followed by a pair of shows in Michigan - the A2 Fest in Ann Arbor, MI and then to one of our favorite places away from home - Planet Rock in Battle Creek, MI!  Finally, we're back home (sorta) with a show at McHenry Fiesta Days - with our good friends in Libido Funk Circus!!  Come out and catch one (or more!) of these shows!!

Well, we have officially tracked HALF of the new EP (still no new title yet) with the completion of recording on "Sick Of Me", "Maybe Tomorrow", and "Come Back Down"......we are taking a couple weeks off of recording at SUBCLASS STUDIOS to get a show in (our last headlining show before the summer festival season kicks off!) and to hang out at drummer Ron Thomas' house for the third annual "Smooth BBQ" over Memorial Day weekend..  We're back at it on June 2nd.  In the meantime, if you're in the Chicagoland area, make your way out to SHARK CITY this Saturday to catch a preview of some of the new tunes when we headline this great club!!  Once we get back into the studio we hope to have tracking finished by the end of June and we're targeting an August release!!  The new tracks sound great (but c'mon...what musician would call his own "baby" ugly, right?) and we have been impressed with the work of Sound Engineer Joe Tiberi.  Looking forward to getting this one out and into the hands of the fans!!

A shot of the control room at SUBCLASS STUDIOS:

Things continue to chug along!!  Last week, we raised over THIRTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for the Autism Society of Illinois, once again, breaking our previous high.  We are absolutely humbled and thankful that so many of our friends and fans came out to support such a worth cause!  Here's a shot of us alongside some of the kids in attendance from that wonderful event:

And a shot of the guys after the set:

Thanks to Jim Obos of JPM photography for the awesome (and many!) pics!!  Some of which will make their way to our "photos" section very soon!

Just three days after Breaking the Silence, the band participated in a great show with SAVING ABEL and ART OF DYING at Viper Alley in Lincolnshire, a special acoustic performance by all bands!  And to cap off that insane week?  Try another show two days after that at one of our favorite stops, Uli's Haus of Rock in Lansing, MI to celebrate Uli's birthday with our friends in WAYLAND.

On Sunday, the work began in earnest on our as-yet-untitled 3rd EP!!  We have chosen to work with Joe and Mitch at SUBCLASS STUDIOS in Chicago.  We're pretty excited about the work so far, but more news will be available as we get closer to a CD release date!!

We had a great experience playing on WGN - thanks to everyone for the overwhelming response!  Just a few more days until BREAKING THE SILENCE: 5 - and with YOUR help, we hope to raise over $10k for the Autism Society of Illinois.  Here's a screen shot of us on the air yesterday (courtesy of Bob Lofendo, THANKS!)

After BREAKING THE SILENCE: 5, we've got a special ACOUSTIC set opening for SAVING ABEL at Viper Alley, and then we're off to Lansing, MI for another show with WAYLAND (and Uli's B-day bash!).   Thank you for the support, and if this is your first time on our page, THANK YOU for stopping by!!

We had a GREAT time out in Battle Creek with our friends at Planet Rock, and made new friends with Dory Drive, Meccabone, and SXX.  Recording on the new CD begins on 4/14/13 (that's Tony's b-day!) and we're pretty excited about moving forward with that.  In addition, we have some awesome items that have been donated for Breaking the Silence 5 - including an autographed Patrick Sharp Chicago Blackhawks jersey donated by Wirtz Beverages, and 2 Round trip tickets anywhere in North America that United Airlines flies courtesy of United Airlines!!    We're hoping this year we can eclipse the $10k mark for the Autism Society of Illinois - and this year's show is also ALL AGES - kids under 12 get in FREE......great bands, great venue, great items you can win......get on board and come out on Sunday April 28th!!

Before we get to that show, we also have Tony's b-day bash we're celebrating at Bobby McGee's in Chicago Ridge, IL.  We'll be appearing with national touring acts WAYLAND and EYE EMPIRE.  This is going to be a pretty damn good show, so get over there and see what we come up with to embarass the birthday boy!!

More news to come SOON!!

Today we here at VEILSIDE all wish drummer Ron Thomas a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  And since we're at mid-March, that means that BREAKING THE SILENCE is not too far away, and this year, our 5th year of hosting this event promises to be our largest year yet!!  And that's no small feat, since BTS:4 raised almost $9,000 for the Autism Society of Illinois!!  Can we eclipse the $10k mark??

Big time thanks to our friends in Yourz Truly, Lynch, and one of the biggest cover bands on the Chicago music scene - INFINITY for jumping on this year's event!!  And this year, we'll get a slightly extended set out of teen/pre-teen rockers BREAKING LABEL.

Finally, thanks to our friends at WGN Television Channel 9 for giving us the opportunity to promote this event the best way we know - on Wednesday, April 24th VEILSIDE will be performing ACOUSTICALLY on the noon/mid-day news!!  Set your DVR's!!

We're still hard at work on the upcoming VEILSIDE EP - as yet untitled.......looking forward to a GREAT summer schedule hopefully with a new CD in tow!!  Thanks for being a fan, and thanks for stopping by!!

Time flies when you're having fun - February is almost over!!  We had a great time at the 95 WIIL Rock studio yesterday with our friends in AVATAR.  We had a great interview and live on-air acoustic performance, and the folks at WIIL Rock are the best in the biz!!  (Now if we could just get a station like that in the CHICAGO market!!)  here's a shot of the performance at WIIL Rock Studio East from yesterday -

WIIL Rock says they'll have the video up of the performance soon - so we'll definitely let everyone who missed it (or wants to see it again) know when it's up!!  Now we're taking the majority of March off to work on the new CD!!  We have some very exciting summer shows lined up, but we want to get some new material out there.....so in between recording sessions, we'll be out and about and catching up on seeing what our friends bands' are doing.  We're excited about the new songs, and of course, we love being stage so we're not down for long - we're back at it on March 30th at the Tilted Kilt in Elgin with our good friends in Diver Down......DON'T MISS IT!!

Yeah, it's Monday....but it's a GOOD one!!  At the bottom of this page is our music player.  This week only, you can click on the "Download" button and get a FREE MP3 of our live acoustic version of "Messin' Round" from our January 12th show at Shark City courtesy of our friends at Perfect Mix Sound!!  Completely different vibe on a classic Veilside tune!!  Just click the play button and it will activate the Download button right next to it if you want to grab it.  And tell us what you think of the song by leaving us a note in the Guestbook!!  ENJOY!!  So you're hearing from us, we want to hear from YOU!!  What do you think??

Well we had a pretty productive trip out to Anaheim, CA - our annual pilgrimage to the NAMM Convention.  In addition to the warm weather, we met some of our friends from the local Chicago scene, as well as some of the best rock bands on the planet!  We look forward to this trip every January.  Here's a shot from outside the convention center:

We also picked up a great show (don't forget to check the Show Calendar here on our website!!) from our friends at FM Entertainment and WIIL ROCK - opening for Swedish Rock Band AVATAR at Austin's Fuel Room!!  Yeah, it's a school night, but this show is going to ROCK, and you always have Wednesday night to catch up on sleep....come out and rock with US!!

Hope everyone's New Year has gotten kicked off in style!!  Veilside started the year with a Breast Cancer Awareness benefit at Shark City on Jan 12th with our friends in Diver Down.  It s was a great turnout, and a great way to start what we hope will be the biggest year ever for the band.  Here's a shot of guitarists Mo Ismail and Russ Odean (the Terror Twins) from that show:

We're off to our annual pilgrimage to Anaheim, California for the NAMM Convention next week, and then our schedule gets underway in earnest.  Look for a few surprises, including a WEBSITE ONLY exclusive song coming soon!!  The writing for the upcoming CD is also well underway and we hope to have more news about that soon as well.  Finally, the very first published VEILSIDE BOOK "All Access", which is a definitive written and visual history of the band, is available at our shows currently and will be available on the website sometime later this spring.  Thanks so much for the support, and we hope to continue to grow as musicians and as a band over the course of this year!!

Well the end of 2012 is almost upon us.....this year has blazed on by!!  Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas....we certainly did!  Veilside threw the curveball and performed an acoustic set opening for the Trans Infinity Orchestra at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin on Dec 22nd.  We even grabbed an old friend....Jon Badalamenti, for the event!!  We did a mix of Veilside, cover songs, and even some Christmas songs!   Here's a shot from that show:

And we're not even done with this year's schedule yet!  Saturday December 29th, Veilside goes back to the hard rock we're known for with a set at Tailgater's in Bolingbrook (we love this club!) opening for Hairbanger's Ball.  So spend NYE with the family, but spend the 29th with US!!

Our 2013 schedule gets right back at it on Jan 12th at Shark City.  Veilside will be performing as part of a Breast Cancer Awareness benefit.  More details in a week or so.  And then of course, we're off to Anaheim, CA for the annual NAMM Convention to meet with our sponsors, and hang out with the rockstars we look up to!  Be sure to check out our calendar for our show dates!!

No matter what you do.....BE SAFE this holiday season and if we don't see you on Dec 29th......we hope to see you in 2013!!   And we wish you all a very prosperous year!!

Well the holidays are upon us again.....where has this year gone!?  We've had a great time rocking many fans, meeting many new faces, seeing many new places!  We have just THREE shows left this year.  The first one is our own headlining show at Shark City on Saturday, December 1st....our Christmas Kick-Off Party with a great coverband - YOURZ TRULY.  We'll be giving away presents, including a cool $100 cash to one lucky attendee to start their Christmas shopping (or pay that night's bar tab, LOL).  After that, we're opening for Infinity's Trans Siberian Orchestra Experience at Hemmens Auditorium in Elgin on Dec 22nd with an acoustic set that will include our very own Jon Badalamenti!!  We'll be playing some VS originals, some covers, and yes, even a few Christmas tunes.  Finally, our last show of 2012 will take place with us opening for Hairbanger's Ball at Tailgater's in Bolingbrook on December 28th.  In the meantime, we're still hammering away at writing some new tunes, as we hope that 2013 will see a new Veilside CD released!!

So from all of us to all of you......HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!  Hope to see everyone out in December!!

We had a great time raising more money for the Autism Society of Illinois this past weekend with a Halloween Party!!  Lots more coming up!!  First, we head back to Uli's Haus of Rock (SHOVELHEADS!!) in Lansing, MI with our good friends in A.D.D. to open for SUPERBOB on Friday, November 9th....so we hope to see our Michigan fans out there!!  After that, we have our last ALL AGES show of the year at The Des Plaines Theater on Saturday, Nov 17th.  And after that....a Christmas "Kick-Off Party" like none other.....stay tuned for more info on that show!!  And that's not all.....we have other surprises coming up as well!

Hope everyone caught us on Seven On Ridge......we had a great time, and a great experience filming TV.  Check out this shot after the show of us with host Michael Essany....

The new tunes are coming along nicely!  September has turned out to be a busy month for us!  On Weds Sept 26th VEILSIDE will be doing an interview and playing a song on a new TV show, "Seven On Ridge", hosted by Michael Essany (from "TalkBackTV").  This is Chicago's first and only late night talk show and will air weeknights at 10:30pm on WJYS (check your cable listings for the channel).  The show with VEILSIDE on it airs on Thursday, Sept 27th, but if you live in the area, you can attend the taping of this new show!  Check it out at www.sevenonridge.com and tell 'em VEILSIDE sent ya!!

A shot of the Seven On Ridge studio

We've also got some other projects in the works....including our first ever BOOK!  VEILSIDE is putting together a small visual and written history of the band, in a "program" style book!  We've got a few titles in mind, including "Shovelheds Are Your Friend", or "The Adventures of Franken-head", or "Time To Play the 'Where's Russ?' Game".  But no matter, this will be the definitive history of our band, with 5 plus years of blood, sweat, and tears in print.  We're excited about it, and hope you'll be as well!!

And have you ordered any of the web-exclusive merchandise yet??  If not.....make your way over to the "STORE" tab and scroll down for merch you can ONLY get here on the VEILSIDE website!

STILL rockin' - Tony, Ron, Mo, Russ, & Cabo

Well, that didn't take long!!  So last night while we were writing at the studio, we get a phone call asking if we'd be interested in playing in Fox Lake with Tracii Guns' (of L.A. Guns fame) new project, League of Gentlemen on Sept 16th.  It's an ALL AGES show, so we figured....."heck yeah, we're tired of the studio already"  LOL - so although it's short notice, come on out on Sunday Sept 16th and see us!!  We opened for Tracii's version of LA Guns a couple years ago, and he was absolutely cool and put on a great show - and it's ALL AGES!!  Bring the kids, it shouldn't be a late night!!  Details are on the "Shows" tab here on the website!!  Oh yeah, and we promise we'll keep writing......maybe we're just not cut out for this "down time" thing ;)

So Labor Day Weekend is over, which marks the unofficial end of the summer season.  VEILSIDE has had a great summer, from opening for Jack Russell's Great White to headlining Blarney Island, to playing "Rock'n the Valley" with Trixter, Warrant, and Skid Row to returning to Shadow Hill Ranch in Twin Lakes, WI to play with Texas Hippie Coalition, Black Stone Cherry, Saving Abel, and more with some great shows in between.  So now with a no-longer-that-"new" guitarist firmly on board, we're going to take off the bulk of September to get back to writing the next VEILSIDE CD (for now, we'll call it VS3 but that's a working title only !!).  The initial plan is to write and get into the studio in Dec/Jan/Feb for a new spring release!  We'll still be playing shows for the rest of the year, but most likely not as many!!  To kick off our fall season, we'll be at The Tilted Kilt in Elgin with our good friends PARADOXX on Friday, Sept 28th.  We may even "test drive" a new song or two, so come out and catch a great show!  Until then, you'll most likely see VEILSIDE members catching up with some of our fellow musicians on the Chicago scene at THEIR shows....with the busy schedule we keep, we simply don't get a chance to see them as much!

Oh yeah, and we now have some WEB ONLY EXCLUSIVE MERCH!!  Click on the "Store" tab and scroll down - we have the old 70's style Raglin concert shirts, ladies tank tops and baby dolls, heck...we even have a teddy bear that comes with his own VEILSIDE t-shirt!!  These items are for sale ONLY on the website, and will not be available at shows so if you see something you like - GET ONE!!
And it goes without saying - THANK YOU for spending time with us, checking out our songs, and stopping by to say hello!  Without YOU, there'd be NO REASON to do this!

Hope to see everyone soon!  Tony - Ron - Cabo - Russ - Mo

So we made some new friends in Ohio, got to check out the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and then made our way back to hit Shadow Hill Ranch in Twin Lakes, WI to perform for WIIL Rock Fest.  (Thanks FM Entertainment and WIIL Rock!!)  What a great show - met the guys from Texas Hippie Coalition (they freakin' ROCK!) and anytime we can see Black Stone Cherry, you know Tony will be a happy camper as he loves that band.  Static-X, Fear Factory, and Prong all put on great shows as well.

Here's a shot of a few of the guys backstage with friends at WIIL Rock Fest:

And here's a shot of Tony with Big Daddy Rich's (Texas Hippie Coalition) double barrelled shotgun mic-stand........which means he'll probably end up with something either really cool or really stupid on stage in the near future.  (We'll keep him from getting something ridiculous!)

We've got one more show left in our summer season - a return to PENNY ROAD PUB to raise money for our very good friends in the ODDFELLOWS LODGE.  The folks with the Oddfellows have been with us for a couple of years now, and helped us with our "Breaking the Silence" Autism Awareness benefits, so it's only fitting that we come together to give them a hand as well!  We play this Saturday at 6pm!!  Then....we're OFF for the following seven weeks to get to writing....on a NEW CD!!  More details to come, but we've got some great ideas!  Hope everyone has enjoyed their summer - and THANK YOU for spending some of it with VEILSIDE!!

GREAT NEWS!!  VEILSIDE was selected to participate in the 2012 WIIL ROCK FEST - celebrating 95 WIIL ROCK'S 20th "birthday" with twenty bands, twenty bucks!  They added a ReverbNation stage for locals and VEILSIDE was selected to perform at Shadow Hill Ranch in Twin Lakes, WI.  As we played "Rock the Ranch" last year, we are incredibly honored to be given the opportunity to play out there again!!

This is a great line-up and for only $20?  Get your tickets TODAY!!  www.wiilrockfest.com

What a summer it's been!!  On July 7th, VEILSIDE became the first original band to headline the world's best boater bar - Blarney Island!!  An incredible show!!  Afterwards, we hung out and took some pics, here's one of the band (with the all the cameras going off, you have guys looking in different directions......we LOVE when the crowd is like that!!)

Oh yeah....and then we follow up the next weekend with Rockn' the Valley Fest, opening for TRIXTER, WARRANT, and SKID ROW!!  While it was a very hot day out there, you know we were going to have a good time with it.....below is a shot of Russ, who disappeared mid-song...only to find he had climbed to the top of the stage!!

So we've only got a few summer shows left, including our first ever trip to OHIO in August!  But before that, on July 27th, we're returning to Chicago City Limits in Schaumburg, this time with Dave Shankle from Manowar and his new group, DSG.  Also opening for us is a newer band Punch box.  We'll be giving away TWO PAIRS of passes to Six Flags Great America......and speaking of that....we'll be BACK at Six Flags on Sunday July 29th for several sets throughout the day in the park....so stop on by!!

Keep on keepin' on!!

So the summer season is already upon us!  Tomorrow night VEILSIDE will take the stage at the inaugural METROPIA EXPERIENCE in Chicago.  Check out their website at http://www.themetropiaexperience.com for more information about this new infusion of art and music!! Then, we're off to Durty Nellies in Palatine on Friday June 15th for a very important show.....don't forget to BRING US YOUR VIRGINS, where one of our fans can walk out with a cool US Grant ($50) in their pocket!  How?  Easy....just bring someone to the show that has not seen Veilside before (not on our mailing list) and have them sign in at the merch table.  The fan with the most people brought GETS PAID.  In case of a tie, we'll be doing a drawing right there!

We have other shows upcoming, and as always, check out our website for news, but this one got us so excited we had to throw the flyer down now.......on Saturday, July 14th, we'll be in Pecatonica, IL at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds as the main stage act for the second day of a two-day fest....ROCKN' THE VALLEY alongside 80's icons TRIXTER, SKID ROW, and WARRANT!!  Check the flyer below, camping is available.....so you'll want to get in on it NOW!  Check out the flyer below:

Get your tickets NOW!!  VEILSIDE will be performing a new song or two that you won't want to miss!!

Veilside Virgins, that is!!  Veilside has a show at Durty Nellies on June 15th.  So we're holding a contest for all of our fans, and are asking you to bring someone along that has not seen Veilside before!  Just have your friend sign in at our merch table before our set, and whoever has the most folks sign in gets $50 CASH!!  You can get PAID to come see Veilside!!  If there is a tie, there will be a drawing to determine the winner, but someone is going home with a US Grant (He's on the $50, folks!) in their pocket.

Looking forward to getting our summer schedule going.  This Friday June 1st we're in Waukegan, IL for the VET FEST - WOUNDED WARRIOR fundraiser, and then in Chicago on Friday June 8th for THE METROPIA EXPERIENCE.  Check out the show calendar for more information!!  Hope to see you guys soon!!

Well we've had a wild few weeks.......first, we did a little nostalgia show for Tony while we opened for Jack Russell's Great White at the end of April.  Tony's first band, ASC opened for Great White on a series of shows so it was nice to come "full circle".  And while Great White has moved on with a new singer, Jack Russell was INCREDIBLE!!  He put together a great show, and then hung around afterwards to meet and greet every fan at Tailgaters.  It was also the first national act that new guitarist Mo Ismail had opened for......and Mo loved the crowd!!  Here's a shot of the band from the stage right after the set from Paul, who does all photography for Tailgaters:

Then we followed that incredible show up with our 4th annual Breaking the Silence show, which beat our previous high of $5000, this show raised just short of $9000 for the Autism Society of Illinois!!  Here's a shot of lead singer Tony Engel, who won some fierce bidding to land the display for the event, which was signed by all of the bands that helped out.  Thanks to everyone for such a successful event, and we hope to make it even BIGGER next year!!

Finally, the band has been off doing some writing so we can bring new songs and a new show !!   Make sure you check out our show calendar for our schedule, but our next show is another benefit.....this time to raise money for our Wounded Warriors......the US Veterans!!  The VET FEST is in Waukegan over 2 days, with VEILSIDE playing on the first day.  Please consider making your way out there for a great cause, and see some great bands!!  Lots more happening......hope to see everyone SOON!!

We had a GREAT time out in Michigan this past weekend....kicked it off with a return to PLANET ROCK in Battle Creek, then on Saturday had our first show at ULI'S HAUS OF ROCK in Lansing.  What a great time, made some new friends, and some new fans!! (and that's what it's all about!)  Since we're into April, fans of VEILSIDE know what time it is (3 to 5? LOL).........it's BREAKING THE SILENCE TIME!!  VEILSIDE proudly hosts our 4th annual Breaking the Silence - an ALL AGES show to raise money for the Autism Society of Illinois.   This year, you can PRE-ORDER tickets and save money versus the door.  Just go to www.tix4cause.com and type in VEILSIDE (choose Illinois for the state) and you can purchase your tix in advance and save some money!!  ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the proceeds goes to the society...........the bands, the clubs, and our incredible sponsors donate everything so that there is no "take a cut" from ANYONE- the money is for the cause.....one very near and dear to us!

Please note that this show is ALL AGES and is presented in a family atmosphere.   Last year we raised $5000 for the Autism Society of Illinois, and this year we intend to do even better!!  Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out with this event each year!!

Things are moving here at "Camp Veilside".  The band is settling new guitarist Mo Ismal in after a successful first show, and we've started to get more shows booked, including what promises to be a good one.....a return to one of our favorite venues.....TAILGATERS in Bolingbrook!!  Bob Z, the owner has asked us to jump on board as the support act for Jack Russell's GREAT WHITE.  Jack had some health scares last year and had Jani Lane (RIP) of Warrant fill in for him on lead vocals while he healed up, but all the reports say JACK IS BACK!!  So come out on April 21st to see Captain Jack Russell and GREAT WHITE!!

Before we play that show, however, we're taking the show on the road to visit our favorite out-of-state club.....PLANET ROCK in Battle Creek, Michigan on Friday April 6th, and a new club for us, ULI'S HAUS OF ROCK in Lansing, Michigan on Saturday April 7th.  So if you're from that area, come check us out!!

We love being on stage, looking forward to it.......

So it's time to THINK SPRING!!  Although with the weather, you'd think we were in the middle of summer.....but who could complain about 80 degree days....IN MARCH!!??

We had a great time celebrating Saint Patz with our fans and friends at Shark City.  A nice first show for Mo.  Next we take the show on the road for a pair of dates in Michigan before we bring it back home!

Yes.....that's Tony in a kilt (shudder).........

We'll have info up on our April shows, including a return to the city, BREAKING THE SILENCE 4, and another national act!!

Stay tuned.......

So we took time from rehearsals last night to get our new EPK filmed, thanks to Kevin at Hitsquad Productions!  Check them out, they do AWESOME video work!!  (Check out their site in the "LINKS" section!).  Kevin also snapped the first band photo with the new lineup, so check it out!!

Looking forward to getting on stage again soon!!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!!  Give that special someone of yours an extra squeeze today!  If you don't have a special someone at the moment, know that VEILSIDE shows are a GREAT place to meet people!! ;)

Okay, so we had targeted St. Patty's Day for Mo's first show, but sometimes opportunity knocks and you have to take it, so while we're still headlining that show, we've also picked up an opening slot for Brother Cane at City Limits in Schaumburg on March 3rd alongside our good friends in LYNCH.  So it appears THIS show will be Mo's first full set with Veilside (no pressure, brotha!).

So come on out to see what promises to be a good time!  Tix are $15 and available at the door.  We know this is short notice, but we hope to see some of our fans out there!  If not, make sure you're heading to Shark City on March 17th for Ron's Birthday bash!!

Also, for our fans up in Michigan, we'll be out your way SOON!!  April 6th, we'll be at PLANET ROCK in Battle Creek, MI followed by our first ever trip to Lansing, MI to play ULI'S HAUS OF ROCK the next night!  Our friends in SLAM BANG are going to jump on the road with us so we hope to see you guys out!!

Take care of each other!!

Great news!!  Veilside has signed a distribution deal with Island/Def Jam Records to handle the electronic distribution of "This Time...." so you can pick up a copy of our critically acclaimed CD TODAY on I-Tunes and many other digital outlets!!  Island/Def Jam Records will also be handling both the physical distribution and the digital for our next recording (not until 2013!!) but we are excited to be partnered up with a great label!  So please pick up your favorite song from "This Time..." or go ahead and buy the whole CD!!

In the meantime, we're getting our new guitar player Mo Ismail up to speed and ready for our next show.....a St. Patty's Day bash (and drummer Ron Thomas' b-day! party!!) at one of our favorite clubs, Shark City in Glendale Heights.  So come out and have some green beer with us!!
See you 'round......

So February is almost already upon us?  We just got back from NAMM!!  And what a great time!  We'll put up some of the pics from NAMM that we didn't post on our Facebook account as well as pics from our Jan 28th show that featured a return on guitar from JON BADALAMENTI, as well as the first glimpse of the new guitar player for Veilside, MO ISMAIL.  Mo has played in a few cover bands of late, and was also a member of Raine at one time with our very own RUSS ODEAN.  We welcome Mo Ismail to the Veilside family!!

So look for new pics up in the pictures section later this week, we just added some video, and some big news in the next day or two!!  But here, check out this shot of Jose Mangin from Octane, on Sirius XM Radio interviewing Veilside at the Dean Guitars Booth!!

Okay, so the band (sans new guy) is heading out to California this week for the annual NAMM Convention.  We look forward to this trip every year, since it gives us the opportunity to see friends, our sponsors, party a little, and hang out with some of our rock n' roll idols!!  This year, we've decided to make it a bit interactive, and we'll be sending VIDEO updates to our website!!  So stay tuned right here!!

In the meantime, don't forget we have a show coming up on Jan 28th!!  We've got a lot in store for this one, including the "UnVeiling" of our new guitar player!!

Well THAT'S how you start off a year!!  We kicked off 2012 to a fantastic crowd at the legendary Double Door in Chicago last night.  And this show had everything....rocked our fans, made some new ones, and made some new friends!  THANK YOU to everyone who either came out to see the show or watched it on GiggityTV.

A shot from last night's show:

So we think we're off to a great start!  But that's not all.....after several auditions, VEILSIDE has finally settled on our new guitarist!!  We've had John Craig III from LOVEBLAST filling in the past few shows so we could take our time.....and JC3 was nothing short of spectacular!  Complete showman and pro all the way around!!  We actually wanted him to keep the job, but John wants some time to plan out his next move, so with nothing but love, respect, and admiration Veilside says "THANK YOU!!"  Once John gets his next project working, look for him on stage with us sometime in the future!!

So who's the new guy?  We're not saying yet.....we want to get him acclimated to the "Veilside Way" and get him up to speed,  but we will say this....we'll be introducing him at our next show on January 28th at Chicago City Limits in Schaumburg.  And we have quite a few surprises in line for that show....including celebrating the birthday of a special member of the group who will be manning the lead guitar duties that night (hint hint)

So we think we're up and running.....looking to make 2012 the best year for VEILSIDE yet!

Well here we go with another year of VEILSIDE!!  This ride has been awesome....and we're not done yet!!  We also recognize that many of our fans and friends have struggled this past year with the bad economy.  Hang in there.....we know it's easier said than done, but things seem to be getting better!  With that in mind, we here at "Camp VS" wish you the very best that 2012 can bring.....and if it IS the last year (those Mayans!!)....we're happy you're spending a part of it with us!! ;)

We've also got a very busy January planned out!  We've had some auditions for a new permanent member of VS and we hope to have some news on this pretty soon!  In the meantime, we've also booked a few shows........

We're playing January 7th at the famous DOUBLE DOOR in Chicago with friends Man the Mighty, 5 Step Drop, and Sand.  This is going to be a great show and we hope to see you there!!

After that, the band will be heading to California for the annual NAMM Convention to meet with our sponsors, hang with other rockstars, and see whatever trouble we can get ourselves into.  There will also be a few acoustic sets out in Anaheim!

And finally, VEILSIDE returns to Chicago City Limits in Schaumburg on Saturday January 28th.  We have some BIG surprises in store for this one, so make sure you save the date!!

Can you believe it's going to be DECEMBER tomorrow?  What the?  It seems like we just celebrated Halloween last weekend!!  So, we had an AMAZING show at Tailgater's opening for the legendary Ms Lita Ford.....the crowd was incredible!  Don't believe us?  Check THIS out!:

That's a view from over the shoulder of Mr. John Craig....who is filling in on guitar for the band!!

Anyway, we've got one more show to wrap up our 2011 season, which has been the best that Veilside has ever had.....and as anyone who knows the band knows....we're BIG fans of the band SHINEDOWN.  Nope, we didn't get an opening slot for them, but we got the next best thing!!  We will be playing with Shinedown's very own ZACH MYERS....who is doing a "SOUL-LOW Club Tour" at Penny Road on December 10th alongside WAYLAND (They're good, check 'em out!!) and our friends in LYNCH.  Tickets are only $15 but you can get yours discounted by contacting the band!!

And after jammin' with Zach, the band will once again gear up for the NAMM Convention in Anaheim, CA in January.   Stay tuned for more news!!

Told ya the train would keep rolling!!  We're very happy to announce that our November show will feature a new VEILSIDE original, TWO new covers, and one new guitarist!  So for our Chicago-based fans, make your way to Tailgater's in Bolingbrook on Friday, November 18th as VEILSIDE heats the stage for the legendary Mrs. Lita Ford!!

Tony's going to try his hardest to see if he can sing Ozzy's part on "Close My Eyes Forever" , at least during the soundcheck!!  Maybe there will be some video footage of that to come......but either way, you don't want to miss this show!!

Wow, this year has seen a lot of ups and downs (and it’s not even over yet!!) From releasing our critically acclaimed “This Time…” in March, to winning the Bandemonium contest in July, to playing the biggest show of our music careers at Rock the Ranch in August. And the "downs"…..they’ve been there too…..from seeing some of our friends’ bands leave the scene, to the loss of one of best sound guys around, to this……

It comes with no joy to report that lead guitarist, Jon Badalamenti, has made the difficult decision to leave Veilside. No, it’s not one of those “artistic differences” things or whatever BS bands come up with to save public face. Jon has gotten recently engaged, and wants to start a family, and believes that he won’t be able to continue with the busy touring schedule Veilside likes to keep. He’s still going to be a behind-the-scenes player in Veilside for the near future, and while we are sad to see him go, we understand and respect the difficult decision he has made. Jon has been an integral part of Veilside since 2004. He has also realized many of his music goals, and felt he’d be leaving on a high note. Jon will always be our brother, and we wish him only the best that life brings....

As for us…..we’re not stopping this train. We’ve got it covered...and we’re going to continue to make quality hard rock as Veilside does. We’ve often prided ourselves in not having any turnover in the band in the five years of our current run. With a new guitar player, we realize that there will be a slight change in direction for the band. For fans of Veilside, understand that the guitarist we seek will only expand on what we’re already bringing to the table, and make Veilside even better. That will be a tall order, of course….because we think Jon Badalamenti is among the best guitarists in Chicago-land.

So come on out to see this version of Veilside on Saturday, October 22nd at a new club, The Come Back Inn in Franklin Park with our good friends  LYNCH.. Veilside will be sending Jon off in style….a tribute to our friend, co-conspirator, and co-collaborator!! And look for the “new” Veilside to bring a new show out on November 18th….and this one is going to be great!

Stay tuned…….

Well, we wish we could tell how great everything is in Veilside-land, but today was an extremely rough day.  We lost a dear friend - Mike Topousis of MST Sound.  Mike was the sound man at Chicago City Limits, and a good friend of the band.  Whenever Veilside took a show on a day he wasn't working (Friday and Saturday nites) Mike would come out, criticize the sound guy.....and be a genuine fan.  Mike left us way too soon, and will be missed.  RIP, friend!!

The entire Chicago music scene lost one of the best in the biz.  Mike was a musician in his early years, and brought that same passion to making other bands sound as professional as possible.  He was a great guy, a big fan of the band's, and we'll miss him......

So we're getting ready for the big show - WIIL Rock the Ranch!!  Before we do though, we'd like to give a big THANK YOU to our fans and friends that got us this opportunity.....people keep congratulating us, but we need to be congratulating YOU.  So to show our appreciation as only VEILSIDE knows how, we're playing a FREE show at Chicago City Limits in Schaumburg, IL - a special 2 set acoustic performance, no cover.  But that's not all.....one lucky fan is walking out with a pair of tickets to WIIL Rock the Ranch....and gets to see Alter Bridge, Hinder, Saliva, Theory of a Deadman, Five Finger Deathpunch, SOIL and much more.......including VEILSIDE.  So from the bottom of our hearts.....thanks.....and we hope to see you out there!!

The train keeps rolling!!  VEILSIDE is playing at Six Flags Great America this Saturday July 30th, in support of our good friends the Illinois Autism Society.  You can buy DISCOUNTED tickets ($27!!) to enjoy your day in the park, and VEILSIDE is playing sets throughout the day in the park as well!!  So enjoy some time with the family.....and stop by to see one of our sets!!

And the winner is............VEILSIDE!!

After several weeks of draggin' our fans up to Kenosha each week in the 95 WIIL Rock Bandemonium competition, WE WON!!
Here's a couple of shots from that show!!

Fantastic turnout for the Final Round!!

Tim King from our very good friends SOIL gets ready to announce the winner.  Thanks to our new friends in Losing Scarlet, who also put up great crowds each week to advance to the finals......

And now you can add VEILSIDE to this impressive list!!  This is the concert event of the year, and we get to be a part of it, thanks to our awesome FANS AND FRIENDS!!  Huge thanks also go out to Stu and the Crew at 95.1 WIIL ROCK, The folks at the Brat Stop, and our friends from the local music scene who backed us - our brothers LYNCH, LOVEBLAST, and our very good friends in COUGAR, TNT CHICAGO, COVER DOGS, FULL TROTTLE CGO, LIFELIKE VIOLENCE, RANDOM X, 6 DEGREES OF SEPARATION (6DOS), DEADMANS WAKE, SKRUDE LOOSE, and even a few of our fellow competitors in SOUL SHAKER and CEREBOCA.

ONE MORE TIME!!  VEILSIDE has made THE FINALS of the 95 WIIL Rock Bandemonium competition!!  The show is this Friday, July 22nd at the legendary Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI.  (Time is TBA - either 9:45 or 10:45pm).  The winner of this show will play WIIL Rock The Ranch with Alter Bridge, Theory of a Deadman, Hinder, SOiL, Saliva, Five Finger Death Punch, Crossfade, Black Stone Cherry, and much more!!  We need to call out favors from everyone - this Friday, we need ALL our fans and friends out at The Brat Stop one last time so we can win this thing!!

Last week's show by the way.....was a GREAT time!! (And all those balloons!!) So what do you say we do it ONE MORE TIME!!

And Finally......

So we're STILL in this thing!!  What a testament to our friends and fans!  We have a few other shows coming up, but of course, now that we're in 95 WIIL Rock's "Top 3" for the Bandemonium competition, we want to WIN this!!  The winner gets to open "Rock the Ranch" with Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry, Saliva, Alter Bridge, Five Finger Death Punch, Crossfade, SOiL, and much more!!  How cool would that be??  So to all of our fans, we just need to pack the place TWO TIMES - Friday July 15th and if we advance, for the finals on Friday July 22nd.  Also, on July 30th Six Flags Great America has designated it "Autism Awareness Day" in the park, and VEILSIDE will be playing several sets throughout the day.  We hope you are all enjoying your summer and are happy you're spending at least a bit of it with us!!

And the train keeps rollin'!!  VEILSIDE has advanced to the next round of the 95 WIIL Rock's Bandemonium competition.  We are sad to see our friends in A.D.D. go, since they put on such a great show....but that's why they call it a competition.....someone has to go home (let's hope it's not US!!).  So Veilside is playing at 11pm at the legendary BRAT STOP in Kenosha on Friday June 24th.  We need ALL of our fans out to this one!!  Also, listen to 95 WIIL Rock on Friday morning to the Tom & Lisa show.....the radio station issued a challenge to the bands to cover "internet sensation" Rebecca Black's song "Friday".  Well, Veilside did a......uh......Veilside version of the song that will be played on the air.  You guys will have to tell us what you think!!

Veilside has ADVANCED in the Bandemonium competition......the next show is Thursday, June 16th at the legendary Brat Stop in Kenosha!!  As this is an eliminator....the lowest draw for the show goes home (although Top 5 out of the hundred or so bands who entered is nothing to sneeze at).  But we're not ready to go home yet!!  So if you can make it out.....Veilside takes the stage at 10pm!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!  Surprisingly, the band had the weekend off....so instead of rocking out, we had a barbeque at the drummer's house.....joined by friends from Uncle Junkie, Lynch, and Cougar!  Great times!!  And speaking of great times.....VEILSIDE was named to the Top 6 for this year's Bandemonium Contest sponsored by 95 WIIL Rock (Kenosha, WI).  We've advanced to Round 3, which is the live show round, so we need as many folks as we can get to The Brat Stop on Friday, June 10th to come out and support the band!  More details below:

The new CD "This Time..." continues to sell well, and our song "Along The Way" was featured on Virgin Airlines in-flight rock channel for the month of May (thanks to those guys!) and "Along the Way" was also the #7 requested song for the month of May with Armed Forces Radio.  We've been very excited about the response and we're convinced the best of Veilside is still yet to come!!

So be sure to check out the calendar, and see you at an upcoming show!!

WOW!  Breaking the Silence III saw a fantastic turnout, and raised $5,000 for the Illinois Autism Society!!  We are extremely pleased with the results of the event, and it just keeps getting bigger every year!!  THANK YOU!!  And we couldn't have done it without our very good friends in LYNCH, LOVEBLAST, and SEND IN THE CLONES (check those guys out on our LINKS page!!).  Also, big thanks to Carly Larson and The Caring Heart, Jeff Augustyn and Midwest Swiss Embroideries, Tony & Jackie Labarbera and the Chicago Rocker Newsletter, WKRS 1220 AM radio for the promotion (video of that interview is now up in our VIDEOS section!!), Sylvia Jensen and WORNSTAR CLOTHING and Phil Ryan's REVOLUTION IMAGES.

If you couldn't make it out......you can still donate to a very worthy cause!  Veilside is a strong supporter of chidren's charities, and we couldn't be prouder to have aligned ourselves with the Illinois Autism Society.  Donations can be made by visiting their website at:

So look for information on Breaking the Silence IV next year!!  We hope this event continues to get bigger!!

In Veilside news.....later this week, fans will be able to pick up their own copy of "This Time..." right here on the website!!  Thanks to our wonderful fans, we've already sold over 200 copies in just a few short weeks!!

Next up.....Veilside heads back to Chicago!!  Saturday May 14th at NiteCaps Lounge with LYNCH and SLAM BANG.  Look forward to seeing everyone there!!

Veilside and friends from LYNCH and LOVEBLAST celebrate with some of the kids at Breaking the Silence III:
